Ensure your photos meet all requirements in the contest rules section. See samples of past contest entries and contest winners in the Categories section of the contest page.
Ensure your photos are named properly (see example in photo submission form)
Complete the photo submission form and submit your release form (and share with your host family)
Visit our photo contest page to submit your photos and the required form
Alternatively, you may send your photos as attachments in an email to aupairphotos@aifs.com. Email subject line must include your Au Pair ID# and host family’s last name.

Please remember to submit your photos, the photo submission form and your release form!

What are the contest rules?

Uploading your photos and completing the Photo Submission Form and release form are required to enter the contest. By submitting the release form you are giving Au Pair in America the right to use your photos in marketing materials. The use of your photo does not guarantee you are a photo contest winner.
Photos should be at least 2MB in size (preferably larger) and submitted as .JPG, .HEIC or .TIF files
All photos must be of you with at least one member of your host family.
Photo collages and selfies will not be accepted into the contest
All entries must be named with your Au Pair ID# and host family’s last name.
Be sure that the release form is sent to of anyone appearing in the photograph(s). The entry form MUST be reviewed and signed by a host parent (host parents also sign on behalf of their children). Photos received will only be qualified if host parents have signed the release form.

You with your host children/family outdoors and/or in a landscape that showcases your region (farm, mountains, woods, beach, etc.)

Spending quality time during after-school or playtime activities (soccer, arts and crafts, baseball, etc.)

Helping your host children with their homework, projects, reading etc.

Spending time with the younger member(s) of the family (ages 0-3)

For au pairs whose host children are multiples (twins, triplets, etc.)

A photo of you with your host parents and children (can be outside or inside).

Show how you are teaching the family about your country, or how they are teaching you about America.

How Are The Winners Chosen?

Au Pair in America will review all the photos submitted and pick their top favorite finalists for each category.
Finalists are posted to the Au Pair in America US Office’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.
The photo in each category that gets the most engagement (Facebook + Instagram combined) is named the category’s winner.

You will be notified via email if you are a category finalist and will be told when the voting window will begin and end on Facebook and Instagram. This way, you can tell your friends and family when to vote!
